Helping children learn, communicate, participate & thrive.
We turn learning and developmental struggles into structured, measurable progress, for children, families and schools.

Every child deserves more than a label. They deserve a way forward.
Heyday Educational Consult helps children with additional needs make meaningful progress through thoughtful assessment, practical intervention and support that connects home and school.
We work alongside families, educators and professionals to turn questions about a child's development into clear, workable next steps.
- Child-centred, evidence-informed support
- Practical plans for home, school and everyday life
- Progress built together with families and educators
Six ways we support children, families and schools
Every child's needs are different, so support is built around what actually helps, not a fixed programme.
The HEYDAY Way
HEYDAY is not just a name. It is the standard we hold ourselves to with every child, family and school we work with.
Holistic Care
We consider the whole child, not just a diagnosis, difficulty or area of concern.
Excellence
We are committed to high quality, evidence informed practice and continuous professional growth.
Year-Round Impact
We aim for meaningful impact that extends beyond individual sessions and supports lasting progress.
Dignity & Diversity
We respect every child's individuality, identity, strengths and way of learning.
Advocacy
We speak up for children, families and inclusive educational practices.
Yield-Oriented Service
We focus on meaningful outcomes, measurable progress and practical results.
The six-stage assessment pathway
A predictable, transparent journey from a general concern to a clear, measurable pathway forward.
Assessment
We begin with a functional and developmental assessment exploring communication, learning, behaviour, sensory processing and daily living skills.
- Focus
- Communication, learning, behaviour, sensory processing
- You Receive
- A clear picture of how your child is functioning
- Structured intake conversation with the family
- Direct observation of the child across relevant areas
- Input gathered from school or caregivers where relevant

Making personal care a more comfortable experience
Heyday Sensory Salon is a specialised initiative designed to support children who experience difficulty with grooming and personal-care routines.
For some children, activities such as hair care, grooming and sitting for personal-care routines can be overwhelming because of sensory sensitivities, communication difficulties, anxiety, regulation challenges or difficulty tolerating the process. The Sensory Salon takes a therapeutic, child-centred approach to helping children gradually build tolerance and confidence around personal care.
We May Support- Hair-care tolerance
- Sitting tolerance
- Sensory regulation during grooming
- Communication and choice-making
- Reducing distress around personal-care routines
- Gradual exposure and tolerance-building
- Positive grooming experiences

Voices from classrooms and households
We had been getting the same vague feedback from school for a year. The assessment finally gave us a clear picture of what was actually going on, and a plan we could follow.

Heyday worked with our teachers directly instead of just handing us a report. The strategies were things we could genuinely use in the classroom the same week.
